-facepalm- So much for frequent updates...

Erk. So it's been over a year since I updated last... Whoops. I'm almost exclusively on livejournal now >.>; BUT I WANT TO BE ACTIVE ON HERE AGAIN TOO, SO HERE GOES. The main thing going on in my life right now is that I got accepted into nursing school, and I am so freaking excited. I start at one of the local hospitals in late August. It's been really hectic this past couple of months getting everything together (background check, BLS certification, tons of vaccines, orientation, studying like crazy to make sure I remember what I've learned, etc), but nothing has dampened the excitement. I'm still EEEE 4/5ths of the time, and that last 1/5

Livejournal has kind of eaten my life as far as online stuff goes, but I just checked my page on here again and realized I hadn't updated since last July... so... um... 'sup? School's going good for me. I'm pretty much studying 24/7. The classes are really hard, but I only have two more prereqs for the Nursing Program and then I'll be in the program itself. I'm really happy. It makes me have serious geek moments though. There's nothing like standing in the grocery store, rolling your head to the side, saying "Sternocleidomastoid" as you do it, and confusing the daylights out of the guy standing next to you. Got an A in that Statistics class. I've been out for a couple of weeks now, and I'm enjoying my break. It took me a while to figure out how to relax. I still feel like I should be doing something every time I try. My birthday is this Wednesday, but it doesn't really feel like it... I'm thinking about joining the Peace Corps after I finish school. I might try to get a job in a hostpital first, since the more experience you have, the more areas of work you can do. I still want to do Red Cross work, but the more I learn about the Peace Corps, the more it seems like the perfect place for me to do what I've been dreaming of doing. My parents are
