Two lands converged on a single road
And at its end they trailed away
In one direction lay the darkest mire
And in the other, a valley bright with day
Every person has stood at that ending
But not every person knew it was a choice
Because not every person had made the decision
That allowed them to hear a still small voice
And so with shock, so many of us
Have found ourselves walking into the mire
Because God directed us from the easier road
Though our hearts and minds would tire
Our feet sank with every step we took
The mud threatening to drag us down
The blackbirds laughed with shrieking song
Every time it appeared we'd drown
And we could never understand the reason
That we were sent on a path rife with pain
Or why the dirt and blood never washed off
With the cold and acidic rain
And we could never understand the purpose
Behind the grief, the torment, the shock
That left the blackbirds circling our minds
Searching for doubts that they could mock
But the blackbirds' wings began to buckle
And in a spiral their feathers began to fall
Because the sun broke through the canopy
And dried the mud surrounding us all
Through we experience tribulations
God will guide us through our miseries
A strong tower when we are deserted
Though His plan remains a mystery
We are the children who chose to be lead
And with that choice comes a necessary trust
That though we fall and may start to sink
We will walk on because we must

I always thought love was shaped like a heart,
But its actually shaped like a cross!
I'd like to add this verse too: Psalm 34:18

Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly!
Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably..
And never regret anything that made you smile.
